Tested for wear
- Both finishes have passed human sweat testing carried out by our supplier, and both are made for long-term, everyday wear. If a finish needs refreshing within two years of purchase, re-plating is free.
- Perfume, cosmetics, chlorine, salt water and abrasive contact all shorten the life of any plated finish, so put jewellery on after perfume and cosmetics and keep it dry.
Metal safety testing
- Our earring posts passed REACH Annex XVII testing for lead, cadmium and nickel release (tested August 2024).
- Our 925 sterling silver moissanite rings from batch R9094 passed testing for lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury and hexavalent chromium — none detected (tested November 2019).
Moissanite — silicon carbide (SiC), with exceptional fire and brilliance.
- Not a diamond and not a corundum — a different mineral, named as moissanite.
- Also produced in coloured varieties; the colour method for a specific piece is stated on its product page.
Laboratory-Grown Stones — the same mineral, the same chemistry, the same crystal structure as their mined counterparts.
- Grown in controlled conditions with no mining involved, and named Laboratory-Grown everywhere on this site.
- Laboratory-grown diamonds are issued with a grading report from IGI. A report from AGL — Antwerp Gemological Laboratory — is available for coloured stones. The report that comes with your piece is named on its product page. An order that includes a coloured-stone certificate takes 2–3 days longer to dispatch, because that certificate is issued after you order.
